What are refunds?
The company deducts an estimated portion of the tax from its employees' salaries throughout the year and credits them to a government account. The employee files an income tax return at the end of the year, showing how much has been paid to him as tax. If the actual payment is less than the amount of tax deducted before, the remaining amount is received by the employee as a refund.
