Ahmedabad: The state government has taken a major decision in the wake of the rising Corona virus in Gujarat. The state government has reduced the rate of RTPCR tests of corona performed in private laboratories to 800. If you come home and do RTPCR test, you will be charged Rs. 1100. The state government had earlier charged Rs 1,500 for RTPCR test by going to the laboratory and Rs 2,000 for taking samples at home.

Recently, the Rajasthan government and later on Monday the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi also ordered all private laboratories in the capital to reduce the price of RT-PCR test for Corona from Rs 2400 to Rs 800. In view of this, there was widespread hope that the Gujarat government would reduce the charges for this test in the wake of the Delhi government, which has come true.

The RTPCR test is considered to be effective in detecting coronary infection. This drastic reduction in the charge of RTPCR test by the state government will prove to be very important at a time when another wave of Corona virus has started in Gujarat and a large number of new cases of new infections are being registered. People with reduced charges will have a lot of convenience in getting RTPCR tested.
