The finance minister said that under the LTC cash voucher scheme, government employees would also have the option to get cash after leave endorsement. He will be paid the cost of buying a product with 3 times the ticket fare, 12 per cent or more GST.
For this only digital transaction will be allowed and GST invoice will also have to be submitted. The government hopes that the LTC will help increase the cash voucher scheme's cucumber demand of about Rs 28,000 crore. In addition, a special festival advance scheme has been introduced for government employees. Under this the employee can take 10 thousand rupees in advance.
