Advisory has been announced by the Union Home Ministry regarding video calling, conferencing app Zoom, stating that the app is not secure and people should use it with caution.

The Home Ministry has said that the government had earlier given the information on February 6, 30, so people should be alert. The government said that if people are using it too, then there are some important things to watch out for. Always change passwords, be careful not to allow anyone in a conference call.
The Home Ministry has advised to talk on the zoom, which can be followed by vigilance.


  • Use the new user ID, password for each meeting.
  • Disable the waiting room, so that any user can be included only if the conference allows.
  • Disable the view option.
  • Keep the screen sharing option just next to the host.
  • Keep Rizovine option off for someone.
  • At least use the File Transfer option.

Not to mention, when lockdown has been implemented in the country, more and more people are locked in homes. Some offices and people were using the Zoom app, but security has been questioned from time to time.
